Meditation is one of the most powerful tools there is to help us restore the harmony within and to gain access to our bodies inner intelligence.
In meditation, we re-discover the silence in our mind and make it part of our life. Silence is the birthplace of happiness, it is where we get our bursts of inspiration, our tender feelings of compassion and our sense of love.
Meditation is a journey to freedom and self-knowledge.
Through meditation our minds become quiet allowing our bodies to gain the deep rest necessary to release stress and fatigue. In meditation we reconnect with our essence. This connection extends into our daily lives and can result in improved health, more fulfilling relationships, enthusiasm for life and increased creativity.
MEET ANGELA
Angela Whittaker loves meeting new people and sharing life experiences. Her contagious smile and positive attitude always energize those around her. Meditation has changed her life and feels it’s the most rewarding gift you can give yourself.
Angela grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, her parents instilling in her a deep appreciation for humanity and a curious mind. After graduating college with a BA in Organizational Communication, she found herself doing voice-overs for a medical company. She then landed her first voice-over-agent and the world of radio and television opened up to her. She moved to Nashville to pursue singing and everything seemed to be falling into place, but she could no longer deny the feeling that “something” was missing in her life. That coupled with a chronic insomnia problem, she started educating herself about stress and discovered the works of Deepak Chopra, M.D. Shortly thereafter she started a meditation practice and almost immediately began to experience its powerful effect in her life. She fell deeply in love with her practice and decided to study meditation with Deepak Chopra and became one of his certified instructors. Angela then opened a meditation center in Nashville called House of Bliss and traveled around the country performing at Deepak’s seminars (music and spoken work poetry), living the life of a spiritual gypsy for a few years. Angela ended up on a meditation retreat in India with Deepak and 500 other people from around the world. This journey was life changing and catapulted her into her life’s work, of helping others lead more balanced, healthy lifestyles filled with meaning and purpose.
Angela continues to flourish as a professional Voice-Over Artist and also does On-Camera work, represented in both Los Angeles and New York. She now combines her two passions and creates personalized meditation recordings for her clients. She is also a board member of Black Brain Health, a Scientific Advisory Board comprised of top leaders in their fields working to counter neurodegenerative disease and promote brain health longevity. Angela lives in Santa Monica, California and spends a lot of time in Baja California Sur, where her family has a home and she leads private meditation retreats. She attributes the happiness and success in her life to her daily meditation practice. After nearly two decades of teaching meditation to hundreds of individuals, she strongly feels that it is the foundation for fulfilling your desires, managing stress and overall well-being. Sharing meditation with others still brings her the greatest joy.
